Mind Your Own Mind

You shouldn’t react to your mind, 

Whatever it is saying, whether it’s making you 

Angry,

Offensive, 

Frustrated, 

Irritated, 

Compulsive, 

That is the time when you should recognize that it’s not you who are feeling all this, 

But the Mind,

And you are not your mind. 

Let it say whatever it wants, 

Let it call you with powerful yet subtle intensity, 

Let it apply pressure, 

Let it do what it wants, 

You just watch it from a distance. 

You just laugh at its tendencies. 

When you can laugh and watch it from a distance, 

Even for a moment, 

Then you are free from the mind. 

Now, you are free to live as you ought to, 

Attentively and consciously, 

Free from the tortures that the mind produces. 

Don’t just read and believe what I just said,  

But experience it yourself.
